Hero from East- Alexander
Many conquerors have been given the title Great, but few have deserved it more than Alexander. As a young boy, he was taught by Aristotle to be a philosopher-king. Aged twenty, he succeeded his father as King of Macedonia and proceeded to conquer all of the known world. However, not only was he a genius in the art of war, he was also a learned and cultured man. He did not enslave or destroy the peoples he conquered, but tried to create a world in which different races could live at peace with one another.
