About
There are three different books for each grade: The material is presented, using a spiral approach, where students revisit each area and study it in greater depth each year. The Students Textbook contains the subject text of the lessons, exercises as well as activities. The Activity Book, however, engages the student in additional activities on the same lessons dealt with in the Students Textbook. The difference is that the activities in the Activity Book are more analysis - and - synthesis based, than simple recall type activities. There is also a more practical aspect aligned to activities in the Activity Book. The Teachers Manual contains tips for teaching each lesson, suggested pedagogical practices and solutions to exercises and activites found in the Students Textbook and the Activity Book. Grade Three: At this level the manifestation of the Greatness of Allah in and through the creation and the importance of Ihsaan are emphasized. Quranic studies include the memorization and recitation of Surah an-Naba through Surah al-Inshiqaaq, together with basic explanations of these surahs. Students are introduced to narratives of Prophet Muhammad. The worship section deals with the adhan, obligatory times of prayer and the importance of performing salah with congregation. Proper care of the masjid and other public property is stressed. The grade concludes with lessons on the importance of developing good manners towards ones neighbors and others.
