About The Author

Abdur Razzaq Iskander (1935 – 2021) was a revered Pakistani Islamic scholar known for his profound contributions to scholarship and literature. His journey began in Kokal, Abbottabad District, leading him to prestigious institutions like Darul Uloom Karachi and Al-Azhar University, where he specialized in theology. Rising to prominence as Shaykh al-Hadith at Jamia Uloom-ul-Islamia, he later became its chancellor.

Beyond academia, he held pivotal roles in organizations such as Aalmi Majlis Tahaffuz Khatm-e-Nubuwwat and Wifaqul Madaris. Known for his unwavering defense of Islam's core principles, his passing in 2021 marked a significant loss in Islamic scholarship.

Mufti Afzal Hoosen Elias was born in Muharram 1375 (September 1955) in Estcourt, Kwa-Zulu Natal. During his youth, Allah inspired him with a yearning for a thorough Deeni education. After fulfilling his parents’ wishes of obtaining a secular education, Mufti Elias left for Deoband, India in 1977.
