The Tafseer Usmani an exegesis of the Quran in Urdu, was compiled by Allama Shabbir Ahmed Usmani. It accommodates the best in the most authentic commentaries. It is the Urdu version that Maulana Ashfaq Ahmed has rendered into English and thus provided an excellent opportunity to the English speaking people to benefit from it.

Maulana Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmed, the English translator of the Tafseer Usmani, was a grandson of Maulana Faiz Al Hasan Saharanpuri.
